Middle School Self-Referrals

My office sits in the front office between the Principal and the Dean of Students. I love these guys!  But, it can be intimidating for the middle school students to come visit me. Not to mention that my office is kind of far away from the middle school hallway and locker room. 

After some planning, and some suggestions from a variety of people. We decided to create The Counselor's Locker. 

You heard right! I have my very own locker. 

And it is LOCKED DOWN. 

The kids can easily slide index cards into the locker requesting to see me. 

The students can sneak something in whenever they need to and know that I will be checking it throughout the day. 

I am thinking I might wrap it in paper- to give it more color. But, I want to try to keep it Middle School "Cool"- you know?
